Ten members and friends of our First United Methodist Church community went to Nicaragua this July, Honduras Outreach International (HOI).
It is exciting to work, serve, and learn alongside local families and make a difference for Christ! Projects that the team undertook included: building latrines, mixing and pouring cement floors, and various other community development projects. At the same time, they taught village “Sunday Schools” throughout the trip, to share the word of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
This Sunday, August 14th, during the 10:30 AM service we’ll hear from trip coordinator Pete Mather and some other members of the mission team about their accomplishments.
