In which case, the angels are well-spoken at First UMC. A rich and varied music ministry is a vital part of our congregational life and our worship. Congregational singing as well as special music offerings are an integral part of worship.

There are opportunities to participate in vocal and instrumental groups, as well as provide special music that accompanies and enhances Sunday worship.

An SATB choir (18-24 singers) that rehearses each week (September through May) and presents anthems most Sundays during the 10:30 worship service.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Bell Choir

The hand bell choir presents standard and original arrangements for bells about once a month. They are often featured in holiday concerts hosted by the Southeast Ohio Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

 

Worship U Praise Band

The Praise Band leads worship for Worship U, which meets Monday evenings starting at 5:30 for a meal, and 6:30 for worship, followed by a small-group style fellowship sharing focusing on the week’s sermon topic.  This meets in the 3rd floor lounge.
