On October 3rd & 4th, Habitat for Humanity Southeast Ohio hosted a "Blitz Build" event in Nelsonville, where they took a new Habitat Home from foundation only to having the roof, walls, and exterior completely finished. That's a process that can often take a normal crew a few weeks, and they accomplished it in only two days time, with the help of volunteers from First United Methodist Church.
Our own Ken and Debbie Edwards led First UMC's contribution. Ken was given an award. They must have noticed his unique ability to hammer thumbs rather than nails. Way to go, guys!
